King Anthony Reigns, Larson Strikes Gold: A Huge Weekend at Eldora Speedway
If you've never stood along the fence at Eldora Speedway as 900-horsepower sprint cars thunder into Turn One, you're missing one of the greatest spectacles in all of motorsports. The dirt flies, the grandstands shake, and every lap reminds you why sprint car racing remains one of America's purest forms of racing. This past weekend, Eldora once again proved why it's considered hallowed ground, hosting two of the biggest events of the season—and the stars of the sport didn't disappoint.
💰 Larson Cashes In at the Joker's Jackpot
Thursday night's Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing Joker's Jackpot offered more than bragging rights. With $100,000 awaiting the winner, every driver knew perfection would be required.
NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson started from the pole, but it didn't take long for fan favorite Rico Abreu to show his speed. Charging from third, Abreu wrestled away the lead early and immediately set the pace while Larson regrouped behind him.
The race took an unfortunate turn when Corey Day, one of sprint car racing's brightest young talents, made heavy contact with the Turn Four wall during a thrilling three-car battle with Larson and Abreu. Fortunately, Day walked away, but his night was over much sooner than expected.
From there, fans witnessed exactly what makes sprint car racing so addictive.
Larson and Abreu exchanged sliders, crossover moves, and breathtaking passes as neither driver gave an inch. Every lap looked like it might produce another lead change until Larson finally secured the top spot for good on Lap 23 of the 35-lap feature.
Once in clean air, Larson did what champions do—he never looked back.
Crossing beneath the checkered flag, Larson collected the six-figure payday and another signature victory on one of dirt racing's biggest stages.

If Thursday belonged to Larson, Saturday belonged to Anthony Macri.
The 43rd Annual Kings Royal is one of the crown jewels of sprint car racing, and when the dust settled under the lights Saturday night, Macri had successfully defended his throne.
Starting from the pole, Macri looked untouchable during the opening laps before Garet Williamson stormed to the front with one of the drives of his young career. Williamson appeared poised to earn his first World of Outlaws victory, but anyone familiar with Eldora knows races are rarely decided until the final lap.
Meanwhile, Rico Abreu was quietly slicing through the field from tenth starting position.
With less than ten laps remaining, the battle for the lead intensified. Macri found another gear, reclaimed second from Abreu, and set his sights on Williamson.
Following a late caution, everything changed.
Macri executed a flawless restart, drove around Williamson with only two laps remaining, and looked ready to celebrate before another caution forced a dramatic green-white-checkered finish.
One last restart.
One last challenge.
One last opportunity for someone to steal the Kings Royal.
Macri never blinked.
He launched perfectly when the green flag waved and powered away to capture his second consecutive Kings Royal, officially earning the title King Anthony XLIII.
